Barong Dance
On the first day of our trip, we will stop at Batubulan to watch a show called Barong dance.  
This location is taken approximately 45 minutes from Kuta and 30 minutes from Ubud. 
These performances are held in a temple-shaped building adjacent to the hall where you are watching. 
To be able to see a show that duration of approximately one hour duration, your entrance fee charged 
for IDR 80 000 or $ 9 / person. 
You will also be given the storyline of the show in the form of texts from various languages depending 
on your language.
Maybe this is the summary of the story : 
Barong is a character in the mythology of Bali. He is the king of the spirits and symbolizes goodness. 
He is the enemy 
Rangda in Balinese mythology. Banas Pati Rajah is the spirit that accompanies a child in her life. 
Banas Pati Rajah is believed to be the spirit that drives the Barong. As a spirit protector, Barong is often 
shown as a lion.   
Bali's traditional dances depicting the battle between the Barong and Rangda really famous and is often 
shown as a tourist attraction.
Barong lion is one of five forms of Barong. In every part of Bali island Bali island has a protective spirits 
for the lands and forests respectively.   
Each Barong from representing a specific area is described as a different animal. There are wild boar, 
tiger, snake or dragon, and lion.   
Barong shape as the lion is very popular and comes from Gianyar. Here lies Ubud, which is a famous 
tourist spot. In Calonarong or dances of Bali, Barong uses his magical knowledge to defeat Rangda.

Monkey Forest

We passed through the center of the silver craftsmen and Sukawati art market, and headed straight for 
Ubud. 
But if you need to shop, we could stop at that place.
30 minutes from Batubulan we arrived at the Ubud monkey forest, located south edge of the town of Ubud. 
If you are staying in Ubud, the route will be different as well. Entrance is in this place around 
IDR 15 000 or USD 2 / person.
You could spend 30 minutes here, to down the forest. Do not worry here is tame monkey, 
but must be careful also to bring something.
Monkey Forest tourist attraction has a total area of 10 hectares. Monkey Forest tourist area which has worldwide seemed to cover so many things around him. Monkey Forest as a tourist attraction which is also referred to as the Mandala Tour Vanara Wana is an area that is very sacred by the indigenous villagers Padangtegal. In fact, this tourism object can not be separated from Padangtegal village
To support the preservation of forests is currently a tourist attraction Monkey Forest has 125 species of plants consisting of bamboo trees, nut trees, mahogany trees and tree majegau and diverse flora associated with the ceremony. In addition, in terms of wildlife conservation, tourism Monkey Forest has a number of monkeys which now reaches 300 tails. Puri Ubud and Ubud Center

Still around Ubud, from parking in front of the Ubud art market, you can walk to downtown and 
the castle of Ubud, which is usually held revue at night.
Ubud is also a favorite tourist destination in Bali. There are many hotels, restaurants and 
other accommodations in Ubud.





















Tegallalang Rice terrace.
Not far north from Ubud to Kintamani you can see the terraced rice field scenery, 
with steep cliffs and you just see it with a little walk. This place is great for capturing your image.
No entrance fee, in this area. 
 


































Gunung Kawi Temple at  Sebatu
Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu is in Tampaksiring district that exists from Ubud to the north in 10km.
It is not large so much, however, it is a quiet temple to which surroundings were enclosed by the forest. 

There is a fountain where the clear water that is called "Holy fountain" begins to spring in the temple.
Entrance ticket IDR 6000. 



















Kintamani
Kintamani tourism object can be achieved approximately 1 hour drive from Ubud.
Enchantment has to offer here more to the tourist landscape. Be a combination of the landscape scenery of Lake Batur and Mount Batur which stands in the middle of the caldera make this area become one of the most favorite tourist destinations in Bali
Mount Batur is one of a small volcano, but the location was in the midst of a large crater 14 km in diameter. In addition, Mount Batur adjacent to the crescent-shaped Batur Lake which is surrounded by high walls of the crater edge.
Spend one hour for lunch at a restaurant, while enjoying the natural beauty of Kintamani.

Batur Temple (Ulun Danu Batur Temple)  
Batur Temple, also known as Ulun Danu Batur Temple, is located in Kalanganyar, Batur village, Kintamani, approximately 900 meters above sea level. It is also known as the Temple of the Crater Lake, dedicated to the Lake Goddess Ida Batara Dewi Ulun Danu, and Tirta Empul, where run the holiest waters of Bali, believed to have magical curative powers.
Batur Temple is the second largest temple in the island. Huge ceremony, called Ngusaba ke Dasa, is held here every year.In the past, Batur Temple was located on the south western slope of mount Batur. After the destructive eruption in 1917 which ruined the temple. Head of the village along with the villagers brought the surviving shrines and rebuilt Batur Temple to the higher place in Kalanganyar.
In 1927, the people of Batur rebuilt Ulun Danu Temple which once lay at the foot of the volcano. Most of the 285 planned shrines are yet to be completed. At present, the temple is simply designed.

Tirta Empul Tampaksiring

Tirta Empul Temple is built at Tampak Siring around the sacred spring which is believed to have magical curative powers. It is said that the God Indra created the spring when he pierced the earth to build the Amerta, the elixir of immortality, with which he revived his forces whom were poisoned by Mayadanawa.
Over 1000 years old, the temple and its two bathing places have been used by the people for good health and prosperity because of the spring water's healing powers. Regular ceremonies are held for purification, especially pregnant women and those who have endured a long sickness. On the full moon of the fourth month each year, the villagers from nearby Manukaya take a sacred stone to be cleansed at Tirta Empul.
On the hill above the sacred spring is the Government Palace, built in 1954 which was once a resting home for Dutch officials. It was also the former President Soekarno’s residence during his frequent trips to the island.
On the south of Tirta Empul, near Mount Kawi, there is Mengening Temple. There is a relation between these three places. Mengening Temple also has a spring of pure water. It is considered as the memorial temple of King Udayana.

GWK Statue
Kencana statue or GWK and its pedestal building will be standing 150 meters tall with its wings span 64 meters across. Made from more than 4000 tons of copper and brass, the statue is picturing Lord Wisnu, as the source of wisdom, riding on the back of the mythical bird Garuda as the manifestation of conscience toward Amerta, the perennial goodness.The statue and its pedestal will be surrounded by more than 240 hectares cultural park which was once an abandoned and unproductive limestone quarry. The cultural park will provide attractions for both local and foreign visitors with supporting facilities such as Lotus Pond, Festival Park, Amphitheater, Street Theater, Exhibition Hall, as well as Jendela Bali The Panoramic Resto and souvenir shop. At present time, the statue of Wisnu, the statue of Garuda, and the hands of Wisnu have been placed temporarily in three different plazas within the park.

Uluwatu Temple
Uluwatu Temple Located at the western most tip of Bukit Peninsula, this temple is one of Bali's Kayangan Jagat Temples. Its location is dramatic, perched on the edge of a high cliff with a picturesque sunset view. The temple is carved from the enormous limestone rock. ‘Ulu’ means head, ‘watu’ means rock, and ‘Luhur’ implies heavenly, ancestral, original and transcendent all at once.
Uluwatu Temple was first used for worship by the holy 11th century priest, Empu Kuturan, who came to Bali to convey religious law and to form Desa Adat (traditional villages).
This temple was then used for worship by the next holy priest, Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to Bali at the end of 1550 and ended his holy voyage in this area.

Jimbaran Beach
Located on Bali's west coast, Jimbaran offers a small-secluded beach area, where tranquility and perfect peace is the perfect antidote to a stressful world. The land gently slopes away from the beach revealing exclusive celebrity haunts hidden under a canopy of leafy tropical forest. A popular spot for windsurfing and sailing small craft, which are available for rent, Jimbaran's grey sand and calm waters are attracting more people but the beach still has a sleepy feeling. A day at Jimbaran is made even more popular because of the all the wonderful options to eat. Choose from simple local food, the freshest fish or 5-star luxury. It is also a popular spot for sunset.
